Wet Justice

Wet Justice is a community organization committed to environmental justice and equitable access to water in Puerto Rico. Since its founding, it has worked to dismantle inequalities that particularly affect vulnerable communities facing pollution, drinking water scarcity, and lack of essential infrastructure.

Its work focuses on three fundamental pillars:

Community education and civic participation, promoting knowledge about environmental rights and fostering collective action.

Technical and legal support, to ensure that communities have the tools and accompaniment to defend their access to clean and safe water.

Policy advocacy, with the intention of driving legislative and regulatory changes that protect water resources and those who depend on them.

Wet Justice envisions a society in which every community has sustainable, dignified, and equitable access to water, and in which aquatic ecosystems are valued as common heritage essential to human and environmental health.
