Taller Salud

Taller Salud is a Puerto Rican feminist organization with over 40 years of experience dedicated to promoting holistic health, reproductive rights, and community well-being. Located in Loíza, its work is based on an intersectional perspective that combines public health, gender equity, and social justice.

Since its inception, Taller Salud has spearheaded health projects from the community to the academy, working in prevention, mental health promotion, primary care, and the defense of the right to choose. Its integrated approach coordinates education, policy advocacy, direct services, and the building of local networks.

Vision

Taller Salud envisions a society where all people enjoy autonomy over their bodies, equitable access to health services, and active participation in the transformation of their communities. It aspires to a Puerto Rico where health and gender justice transcend paternalistic policies and are embodied in the daily lives of the most vulnerable communities.
