Paz para Ti Center
Paz para Ti Center is Coordinadora Paz para las Mujeres’ first community-based direct service project. Located in the former Juan Garrastegui school in Paso Hondo, in the Yahuecas neighborhood of Adjuntas, its main goal is to strengthen protective factors for rural women against gender-based violence by fostering economic independence, support networks, and spaces for healing.
Services and programs
Community Promotoras: local women leaders (some survivors of violence) who receive specialized training in domestic and sexual violence and other forms of violence. These promotoras accompany survivors, facilitate workshops, and serve as bridges of support in their communities.
Mountain Women Entrepreneurs Market: an event dedicated to showcasing and supporting the products of rural women entrepreneurs, fostering a solidarity economy and giving them visibility and income opportunities.
Legal and psychological guidance and referrals: comprehensive services for survivors, including counseling, emotional support, and connections to needed medical and social services.
R.E.S.P.I.R.A. Project: provides a rapid response to sexual violence, promoting ongoing dialogue, safe spaces, and healing.
Vision
CPPT aims to be a transformative space for women in rural areas, especially those in the mountains, where social services have historically been scarce. It envisions communities where dignity, economic autonomy, solidarity, and gender justice are everyday realities—where every woman can build a life project free from violence and with opportunities for holistic development.
