(San Juan, Puerto Rico- December 22, 2025) The Women’s Fundation in Puerto Rico communicated today that they are committed to continuing their systemic and community work in defending the rights and well-being of women, girls, and the gender expansive community in the face of the recent signing of the PS 504. The bill “represents a serious setback for reproductive justice and puts women’s healths and lives at risk. By setting new barriers to the access of essential health services, limiting informed medical decision-making, and generating fear and uncertainty among patients and healthcare professionals, this project evidences the fragility of rights that should be guaranteed”, they shared to the community. The foundation reiterated the importance of the fight for rights and bodily autonomy being a constant one, based on a strategic presence by a united community committed to sustaining long-term change.
