Each year, at the Fundación de Mujeres en Puerto Rico, we celebrate our Annual Assembly as an opportunity to return to what matters most: our shared commitment to transforming the lives of women, girls, and gender-expansive people through justice, care, and solidarity. More than an institutional event, the Assembly is a living space, where we gather, think collectively, and continue building the Puerto Rico we envision.

This year, under the theme “Feminist Research for Systemic Change,” we reaffirmed something we hold deeply at the Foundation: data is also a form of love. We believe in community-based and feminist research because it offers an honest, rigorous look at our realities and gives us the tools to drive lasting transformation. Research rooted in feminism and community means listening with intention, documenting lived experiences, and acting with trustworthy evidence. It means honoring our history to open new possibilities for the future.

In a moment when inequality and misinformation intersect, research becomes an act of resistance and of care. It allows us to name what hurts, bring visibility to what some try to erase, and support our communities with information that guides decisions and strengthens collective solutions.

Below you’ll find photos, videos, and the full summary of our 2025 Annual Assembly, a testament to the power that emerges when community, evidence, and hope meet.
