Centro de la Mujer Dominicana
The Dominican Women’s Center is a non-profit community organization founded in 2003 with the purpose of assisting immigrant women in Puerto Rico. Its primary mission is to support immigrant women who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, providing them with the tools and support needed to face the challenges of their daily lives.
Our Work
The Center offers a comprehensive range of specialized services and community outreach, including: guidance, social work, emotional support, legal advocacy, coordination of specialized services, legal counsel, and educational workshops.
Thanks to these initiatives, many immigrant women are able to rebuild their lives in safe and empowering environments.
Vision
It seeks to build a society where immigrant women can live free from violence, with access to justice, resources, and equitable opportunities. The organization works so that every woman recognizes her dignity, exercises her autonomy, and accesses support services that enable personal and community transformation.
